Laura has made a beautiful oasis in the center of Ashburnham. It’s a great place to see the colors of New England. Easy access to Gardner for restaurants and stores. Watatic Mountain is nearby and great for hiking. Moore state park, in nearby Paxton, has wonderful paths for walking and seeing the beautiful river and gist mill and saw mill house. Easy access to both the Worcester Art Museum and the Fitchburg Art Museum, both have beautiful paintings and exhibits. Laura offers a beautiful space to relax, with a small kitchenette. Spacious bathroom, beautifully decorated King bedroom. The accommodation are very comfy. Laura and her husband are very welcoming without being overbearing. If you need them they are there, if not, you forget that they are in the attached house. I love this little oasis, this is my second or third return because it’s that good.

Laura is a true professional. She thinks of every detail that would make a guest’s stay comfortable and executes each thing perfectly. The space is always spotless. A lamp is on in each room and the temperature is comfortable. The house is arranged with comfortable beds and furniture. There are always snacks and quick breakfast items in the kitchenette. The bathroom is stocked with fluffy towels and the shower is stocked with nice soap and shampoo. There are fans and air conditioners to make this colonial-era house the perfect temperature. Laura is responsive to questions and very willing to help with special requests. I’ve stayed here multiple times over the last three years and it’s always perfect. We will keep coming back as long as she’s willing to have us!

Beautiful quick ride to Wachusett Ski area. Rollling hills historic houses excellent roads. Host provided breakfast foods and the refrigerator was stocked with basics. High quality bedding and very comfortable! Property overlooks a river and is peaceful with sounds of running water.

I stayed at Laura’s Ginger Bed dozens of times over the course of 2012 while I needed to be out near a new job. I stayed there on an almost weekly basis throughout the whole year. It was always a relief to arrive at the suite after a busy day. The space was consistently immaculate and prepared perfectly. Everything I needed and nothing I didn’t. Over the course of the year Laura made improvements to the space and it was clear they thought about every aspect of making a comfortable place, and cared. Laura was always easy to work with, accommodating when I needed to adjust my schedule for weather or work reasons, or use both bedrooms when my family joined me. She was quick to help, while still giving me privacy. I genuinely could not have made it through this year without this place being such a sanctuary. Thank you, Laura and Michael!

We had a wonderful stay. We were very comfortable, with everything we needed and more. We particularly appreciated the charming stone walkway; the big, comfortable bed; the trees outside our window; the cleanliness of the space; the beautiful front door and hardwood floors; the chairs out front; and the tasteful, thoughtful (carefully selected and placed) art, decor items, and furnishings. Everything was as pictured/described, and communication was friendly and clear. The location is peaceful and private, with plenty of lovely spots to visit in the area (including Trustees and Mass Audubon properties). We would be delighted to return!

Laura's place was perfect for us. We stayed for one night for a concert at the Range in Mason, nh. Walked to an early dinner at the tavern in town. Delicious. The morning was very peaceful with beautiful gardens and plenty of coffee. The apartment is immaculate, with everything we needed. There is a lot of attention to detail - my husband commented on the craftsman ship of the woodwork, etc- this is a really nicely redone place. Laura was communicative, available and friendly when I saw her outside in the morning ( I approached- I think they would have just let us have our privacy, which I appreciate very much. Private, clean, quiet place with comfy beds. Highly recommend.

The Ginger Bed is a beautiful haven of comfort and kindness. Every little thing is designed for comfort, style and practicality. Beautiful artwork adorns the walls, lovely architectural details have been preserved and the grounds are pristine but not fussy. The Ginger Bed's layout, furniture and fixtures were immaculately clean and well appointed. Our hosts thoughtful consideration was evident and we truly felt cared-for - from their clear communications and ease of entry, to their thoughtful provision of supplies. There was nothing we lacked even in spite of a late night check-in. I couldn't recommend The Ginger Bed more highly, and we will certainly be back!

This is one of the best Airbnb's we've stayed in! Laura was great at communicating with us ahead of time and was responsive during our stay if we needed anything. The space is well stocked with towels, dishes, water kettle, and a cozy atmosphere. We spent more time in the room than planned because it was so comfortable! Also awesome to be able to walk to the local market, tavern, and shops. Great location!

Easy to find and very clean, very much a at home feel and only 15-20 mins away from Skiing. Host was very responsive and incredibly helpful. Host had continental breakfast items and had a laminated menu of local attractions and instructions which was incredibly helpful. Everything was seamless and would highly recommend. I plan on reserving this again in the future.

Laura’s place is a perfect little slice of MA. After an uncomplicated entrance, we walked in to a wonderfully clean space. The  kitchenette area is perfect for a few friends to share some snacks, laugh, and play games. It’s only a 10-15 minute drive away from Wachusett mountain and very close to some wonderful restaurants and breweries. I would absolutely recommend this listing to anyone that is interested! Will definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

Lovely stay! Exactly as pictured and SO CLEAN. The place was truly immaculate. The king bed was very comfortable and the heating worked great. Very quiet and private. Quick and friendly communication. Very well-stocked bathroom and ample hot water. Lots of thoughtful touches that really made it such a wonderful, home away from home stay (hooks for coats, shelving and hooks in the bathroom, a good hair dryer, plenty of lighting, extra towels and outlets by the bed for phone charging, to name a few). We stayed at the Ginger Bed for our second time, and again it was wonderful. We love the very comfortable beds, the yummy breakfast items, the very clean and updated feel of the beds, bathroom, and furniture, in harmony with the best details of the old: wide floorboards, cool mantelpieces. There are great local tips, and the location is ideal, an easy and quick stroll to the heart of Ashburnham village, and a few minutes drive to beautiful conservation land.

Laura and the Ginger Bed were fantastic. Very easy check in and walking distance to food and drink. The morning light was beautiful (but could easily be blocked by shades), the bed was very comfy, and the decor was lovely. The complimentary coffee, tea, yogurt, and granola bars were thoughtful and delicious. Overall, a great, quiet getaway. Highly recommend.

The space was sparkling clean with a very comfy bed and was exactly what we were looking for: a quaint getaway to celebrate my birthday and Valentine’s Day, and break from work. Laura and her husband provided any amenity you could think of and left a bunch of great local tips for dining in their adorable small town, hiking/snowshoeing nearby trails, and suggested local attractions. Laura has thought of every comfort, even down to the very cool window-shades that are adjustable to be light-blocking. Ashburnham is a pretty little New England town. We enjoyed being there and Laura lived up to her Superhost reputation, by creating such a nice place, but also being proactive in her communication with us about staying there. We stayed in the Ginger Bed King and couldn’t have been happier. The place was easy to find, easy to park, easy to check in. The place itself is just perfect. It was so quiet that we often sat just listening to the silence! The breakfast treats were a welcome touch and kept us from going to bed without dinner the night we arrived. We would 100% stay here again!
